Another case of art imitating life?

A topless Kristen Stewart, 20, and real-life love RobertPattinson, 24, share a tender embrace in the first still fromThe Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn.

Though the actors — who play Bella Swan and Edward Cullen, respectively — have been linked romantically for years, director Bill Condon tells Entertainment Weekly he was worried about how their pivotal love scene would translate on film.

“You want to live up to people’s expectations,” Condon explains. “People take [the movie and characters] personally. When you are interpreting something you have a certain vision of how it will be. Sometimes it is a liberal interpretation, but you hope you get to the essence of something.”

The low-key twosome — who rang in the new year together on the U.K.’s Isle of Wright — have only recently begun to show their affection for one another publicly.
